The Fourth Annual Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival Announces Early Selection Films and Inaugural Advisory Board

The College announced expanded dates, early selection films, and new advisory board for the Fourth Annual Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival (MCHRFF), scheduled for September 20-24, 2022 in-person on the Morehouse campus and The Plaza Theatre. The five-day event will be presented by Chromatic Black in partnership with Steal The Sun Studios. The festival will also be accessible virtually from September 20 to September 30, 2022. Badges are now on sale at a 50 percent discount.

Faculty Blog: Reentry Awareness Month in Georgia

Last month was Reentry Awareness Month in Georgia. Governor Kemp approved—for the sixth year, though most of us are still largely unaware—"a proclamation to observe July as Reentry Awareness Month throughout the state." The Proclamation acknowledges that “over 4.2 million Georgians have a criminal record” and that by “eliminating the stigmas associated with having a criminal record and promoting compassion and kindness, we can help returning citizens strive for brighter futures.”
